ENDOWED FUND FUND DESCRIPTION
Abby W. Palmer Asbell Memorial Scholarship Fund Established in 2003, the fund provides scholarship support based on merit and financial need: first, to Undergraduate students who have matriculated from the New York School for the Deaf in White Plains, New York; otherwise, to graduate students pursuing a master of arts in Deaf Education with a concentration in Teacher Preparation or Advanced Studies.
Alma & Edward West Memorial Fund The fund provides financial assistance to an Undergraduate deaf student from Virginia. It is administered by the Director of Financial Aid.
André Muller International Scholarship Endowment Fund The Fund provides scholarship support for International Students (Undergraduate or graduate) with a minimum GPA of 2.5 with preference given to students from Africa or Europe.
Burr and Duesman Family Scholarship Fund Established in 2004, the fund provides financial assistance to deserving Undergraduate students who are deaf or hard of hearing with preference given to those from Nebraska or Wisconsin.
Catherine Jackson Moss International Scholarship Fund The purpose of the Fund is to provide financial assistance to Undergraduates, and/or graduate, deaf and/or hearing students from outside the United States of America, who have demonstrated financial need. Students must meet all requirements for admission and have maintained a grade point average of 2.8 or better. Preference will be given to students who intend, upon graduation of their academic studies, to return to their home countries, where they will use the knowledge and skills they developed at Gallaudet to become productive deaf or hard of hearing citizens in their home countries and/or to contribute to the betterment of people in their home countries who are deaf or hard of hearing. Students must be willing to sign a Letter of Intent to that effect. Preference will also be given to students who have previously received financial assistance from the Fund and successfully completed the courses for which the previous assistance was provided.
Chanda Nichele Smith, Class of 1998, Scholarship Fund The purpose of this Fund is to provide financial support to a deaf and/or hard of hearing incoming African American freshman or Undergraduate female student(s), with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with preference given to applicants from either Baytown, Texas or the State of Texas.
Class of 1940 Endowment Fund The fund provides general scholarship support to Undergraduate students needing financial assistance.
Class of 1971 Scholarship Fund The fund provides assistance to deserving Undergraduate students
Donald A., ‘45 & Agnes Minor, ‘47, Padden Scholarship To provide scholarship support for graduate and Undergraduate students with displayed financial need. Preference shall be given to students with at least one deaf parent, regardless of the student’s hearing status.
Donita Marie Shelton Memorial Scholarship Fund Financial assistance for Undergraduate students.
Dorothy and Jack Bender Fund The purpose of this fund is to provide educational assistance to deserving Undergraduate or graduate students.
Dr. Emanuel Golden, ‘49, Scholarship Fund The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support to deaf and/or hard of hearing Undergraduate or graduate student(s), with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Goetter Family Scholarship Fund The fund supports scholarships for deaf or hard of hearing Undergraduate or graduate students from the State of Nebraska and the State of Missouri. The first criterion of the award shall be academic achievement, the second criterion shall be financial need.
Harlan Lawson Lane Scholarship Endowment Fund The fund provides financial assistance in the form of scholarship awards to Gallaudet University Undergraduate students who are enrolled in the University’s Honors Program
Harry M. Danoff, ‘25 Award Fund The fund provides scholarship assistance to Undergraduate or graduate students with demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
Information Technology Scholarship Award The fund provides scholarship assistance for deaf and hard of hearing Undergraduate students majoring in computer-related fields, which may include but are not limited to, computer science or computer information systems.
James & Joyce Peterson Scholarship Fund The purpose of this fund is to “provide scholarship assistance to deaf or hard of hearing Undergraduate students from Tennessee and West Virginia. Students must have displayed financial need and maintain a C average or better.”
Janet E. Weaver Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial assistance to Undergraduate or graduate students with preference to those who use or plan to teach “cued speech” manual communication methods.
Jeanette L. Padgett Scholarship Fund The Fund provides a scholarship based on financial need for a deaf Undergraduate student majoring in social work, education, or English, with first preference given to students from Texas.
Leland B. & Lucille B. May Scholarship Fund This fund was to provide assistance to deserving female graduate and Undergraduate students at Gallaudet. Students must either be US or Canadian citizens.
Lorna C. Werble Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship support for full-time Undergraduate or graduate students at the University who have demonstrated a need for financial assistance. In selecting scholarship recipients, preference is to be given to deaf or hard of hearing students from the states of West Virginia or Maryland.
Mary Alleen Sellers Scholarship Provides Undergraduate students with scholarships: first-time recipients having a 3.0 GPA or higher and renewing scholarship recipients having a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Mary Pickford Scholarship Fund This fund was to provide financial assistance to deserving Undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in degree programs at Gallaudet. All candidates for fund scholarships must demonstrate unmet needs for financial aid.
Mickey Dale Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides financial support/scholarships for Undergraduate students with 3.0 or higher GPA and demonstrated financial needs with preference given to students who have received the award in previous years.
Nicholas J. Campbell, Jr. Scholarship This fund supports Gallaudet Undergraduates who are United States nationals.
Number Scholarship Fund This fund supports Chinese Undergraduate students who are in need of financial assistance
Olive and Bertram Swindells Endowed Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship support for Undergraduate and graduate students in good standing at Gallaudet.
Rev. Otto B. Berg, ‘38 Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarships for deserving Undergraduate students
Ross Johnston Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund assists deserving Undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given, when possible, to students with deaf parents.
Rowley Family Scholarship Fund The fund provides scholarship assistance to either an Undergraduate or graduate student
Sallie Ben Guest Scholarship The Fund provides scholarship assistance to Undergraduate students. For first time recipients, preference will be given to students with a GPA (either high school or last semester as a full-time student) of 3.0 or higher, but no less than 2.5. And for renewing scholarship recipients, preference will be given to students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, but no less than 2.8. Provides Undergraduate students with scholarships: first-time recipients having a 3.0 GPA or higher and renewing scholarship recipients having a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
The Catherine Jackson Moss Endowed Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial assistance to Undergraduate students from Texas with preference given to students who graduated from the Houston Day School for the Deaf
The Class of 1947 Endowed Scholarship Fund The fund provides scholarships for Undergraduate and graduate students.
The Dorothy E. Ann Fund (D.E.A.F.) Endowed Scholarship The fund supports scholarships to deaf/hard of hearing Undergraduate students from Central Ohio who are in good academic standing (GPA of 2.8 or higher),and demonstrate financial need.
The Hazel Bretzlaff Van Allen Endowed Fund The fund supports Undergraduate and graduate Hispanic students.
The Herman S. Cahen Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial support to any deserving Undergraduate student
The Morgan R. Owens Memorial Fund The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance, at both the graduate and Undergraduate levels, for Arkansas students only.
The Teagle Foundation Scholarship Fund The fund provides scholarship support for deserving Undergraduates who are American citizens.
The Walter G. Ross Scholarship Fund [quasi-endow] The income from this fund is to be used for scholarships for Undergraduate students.
Vilas M. Johnson, Jr.,’59, International Scholarship Fund To provide financial assistance to Gallaudet international students who are enrolled in Undergraduate or graduate studies. Preference is given to those students who meet the following criteria: maintain residency in a developing nation; demonstrate a need for financial aid; demonstrate above-average academic performance by maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or above; demonstrate a desire to return to their nation of residence to help educate and advance the lives of its deaf citizens.
Zella and Sidney Batterson Memorial Scholarship Fund Students receive their awards as long as they remain in good academic standing.
Agnes Farmer Jones Memorial Fund This fund will provide scholarships for deserving students on campus
Albert J. Krohn, ‘25 Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial support to students from the midwest, with preference given to students from Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
Alfred E. and Margaret Syring Memorial Fund The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship support for students studying alternative health practices or the arts. If no such qualified candidate exists in a particular year, Gallaudet may use its discretion in awarding the scholarship to support another female student.
Alice Emma Curlett Scholarship Fund This fund is to provide scholarships for deaf and hard of hearing students
Amy Fowler, ‘16 Endowment Fund The fund’s income will be used to award scholarships to graduates of the Indiana School for the Deaf.
Burton W. Driggs, ‘13 Memorial Scholarship The fund was set up to support deserving Gallaudet students based on financial need and academic excellence, with preference given to students from North Dakota, Idaho and Utah
C. V. Starr Scholarship Fund This fund will provide scholarship assistance to students of its own selection on the basis of merit and need.
District of Columbia Federation of Women’s Clubs Scholarship The purpose of the Fund is to award scholarships to deaf and hard of hearing female students, demonstrating financial need.
Doctors Jean & Richard Holt Leadership Scholarship The fund provides an award to a high school senior or enrolled student at Gallaudet who has distinguished himself or herself as a student leader and role model in the broadest sense.
Donald Knott Scholarship Fund The fund will provide scholarship assistance to deserving students
Edna Adler Memorial Scholarship Fund Scholarships for deaf and hard of hearing students majoring in social work or counseling.
Elizabeth E. Benson, G-’32 Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial assistance to sophomores, juniors, and seniors with demonstrated academic ability and financial need
Ellen Pearson Stewart, ‘17 & Roy J. Stewart, 1899 Memorial The fund provides scholarship assistance to students from Nebraska who are in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Preference will be given to those students who are involved in extracurricular activities (i.e. sports programs, and student organizations).
Eric Plunkett Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund provides scholarships to Gallaudet students from the state of Minnesota with demonstrated financial need.
Florence Toma & Cleveland Soc. for the Deaf Mem. School. Fund The fund provides financial support for entering freshmen who reside in Ohio. Preference is given to those students who express a desire to move to Cleveland after graduation.
Gallaudet Memorial & Honor Fund The fund provides assistance to Gallaudet students with demonstrated financial need.
George J. Finney International Endowment This fund will be used to support international students.
Gerald Adler, ‘35 Memorial Fund Each year, deserving students are awarded scholarships from this fund
Gil Lentz, Jr. Endowment Fund The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support to students who demonstrate a financial need with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Students must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students who graduated or attended at least two years of high school in California School for the Deaf in Fremont.
Gus Valencik and May Virginia K. Valencik Scholarship Fund Provide scholarships to students who are both United States citizens and in financial need.
Harriet S. Thurston International School. Fund This fund is to provide scholarship assistance to international deaf and hard of hearing students in good academic standing.
Harriett Nay Gough, G-’32 Memorial Scholarship Fund This Fund is to provide scholarship assistance to seniors or graduate students who have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to a student, from the Michigan School for the Deaf, pursuing a course of study that prepares him or her for a career in the education of deaf students and whose classmates deem them to exhibit leadership and good citizenship.
Henry N. Brawner, Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund The purpose of the Fund is to support scholarships for Gallaudet students.
Henry Newton Brawner, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund provides general scholarship assistance for Gallaudet students.
Henry William Yahn Scholarship Fund The fund supports scholarships for deaf students demonstrating financial need.
Hylda Maxwell Purce, G-’54 Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund assists deserving minority students with preference given to African American students.
Isadore & Bertha Gudelsky Family Endowment Fund The income is used to provide financial support to deserving students
James Holland Guest and Anna Lee Guest Scholarships The fund provides tuition scholarships to American students demonstrating high academic achievement and financial need. First-time awards can be made only to students with a high school or full credit Gallaudet grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Renewal awards are given to students who have previously received the scholarship and demonstrate a Gallaudet grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The scholarships may not be used to cover room or board expenses, or the purchase of books and school supplies.
Jessie M. Bodigian Scholarship Fund The fund provides scholarship assistance to deserving deaf and hard of hearing women at Gallaudet.
Jo Carney, E-’46 Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial assistance to a deserving junior or senior who demonstrates financial need. Preference shall be given to those students who are married and/or members of the Phi Kappa Zeta Sorority.
Joseph A. Levendusky Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides financial assistance for deserving students demonstrating financial need and academic excellence. (apf, 5/2/96).
Kensicki and Evans Endowed Scholarship in English Fund The fund provides scholarships to junior or senior English majors with a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrated financial need.
Lesley Stahl Scholarship Fund The fund assists deaf and hard of hearing students that demonstrate a need for financial assistance at Gallaudet University.
Linton & Josephine Collins Memorial Fund The purpose of this Fund is to support the students at Gallaudet University.
M. J. Engstrom-Bancroft Endowed Scholarship Fund The fund provides support for incoming freshmen who have been admitted with conditions in Mathematics and/or English.
Marshall Steel, Sr. Scholarship Fund This fund provides support for students in Gallaudet, that needs financial assistance, and with preference given to those whose permanent residence is California.
Mary Armstrong Markus Memorial Scholarship The fund provides scholarship assistance to freshmen majoring in Art, History, or Zoology. Preference will be given to students from the state of Texas and additional preference shall be given to graduates of the Texas School for the Deaf at Austin, Texas.
Miss Howard Cyrena Mumford Freshman Scholarship Fund This fund provides financial support to entering freshman students with a preference to those who have demonstrated leadership abilities during their high school years.
National Black Deaf Advocates Andrew Foster Scholarship Fund To provide financial assistance to Black deaf or hard of hearing students with demonstrated financial need and a GPA of 3.0 or better. Preference is given to those who demonstrate a desire to advance the lives of Black deaf and hard of hearing people.
Noreen Chambers & Cleveland Soc. f/t Deaf Mem.Schol. Fund This fund provides financial support for entering freshman who reside in Ohio. Preference is given to those students who express a desire to move to Cleveland after graduation.
Olof & Agatha Tiegel Hanson Service Award Fund This fund provides an annual award to the man and woman in the senior class who have shown the greatest promise of high character and leadership
Pam Aune Memorial Scholarship Fund The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship assistance to a female in good academic standing with a high level of interest in sports.
Pearl Frank Endowed Scholarship The purpose of the fund is to provide tuition aid to students attending Gallaudet University who have multiple learning disabilities.
Philip W. Bravin, ‘66 Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship assistance to deserving students.
Physical Education, Recreation & Leisure Studies Scholarship The fund is to help with a research study or scholarship for a junior, senior, or graduate student who is interested in majoring in horticulture.
Randy Sugiyama, E-’90 Memorial Fund These funds assist average students with at least a “C” average, and need financial assistance
Raymond Tucker Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund assists deaf and hard of hearing students at Gallaudet who are in financial need.
Read Family Scholarship This fund provides scholarship awards to deserving deaf students or persons training to become teachers of the deaf who require financial assistance to attain their educational goals. Preference is given to students interested in teaching deaf children in a developing country or to assist a student from a developing country in attending Gallaudet. If the college cannot identify such a student, or if the college’s priorities change, scholarships may be awarded to any student the college selects.
Robert S. and Betty Mowl Lawson Endowed Scholarship To provide financial aid to students from Tennessee, Indiana or Pennsylvania majoring in the field of education if such qualified students are available. Otherwise, Gallaudet is to select students of similar categories.
Robyn Lynn Jackson, E-’93 Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund will provide financial assistance to Gallaudet students who attended the Scranton State School for the Deaf.
Rotary 7620 Special Scholarship Fund The fund will be used to award scholarships support to deserving students.
Ruth L. & Sheridan R. Brown Scholarship This fund provides scholarship awards to deaf and hard of hearing students at Gallaudet.
The Alan R. Barwiolek “AlB”, ‘75 Memorial Scholarship Fund The fund supports full-time, deaf students in the Deaf Studies program giving preference to students who demonstrate academic excellence with a cumulative 3.5 GPA or above and financial need second. Students must be U.S. citizens.
The Alice & Henry Herman Endowed Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial assistance to Gallaudet students.
The Anna Wiemuth Student Loan Fund This fund provides scholarship support for needy students.
The Delta Zeta Scholarship Fund The fund provides scholarship assistance to female students at Gallaudet

The Given Foundation Scholarship Aid Fund The income provides scholarships that are awarded annually to two or more students on the basis of scholastic achievement and financial need.
The Highberger Family Scholarship Fund The fund’s purpose is to provide tuition payment assistance to junior and/or senior-year students in Gallaudet’s School of Communication who have demonstrated high academic performance. Preference is given to students who are graduates of the Colorado School for the Deaf. Fund is administered by the dean of the School of Communication.
The John and Florence Kelly Scholarship Fund This fund provides financial assistance to financially deserving, promising, deaf female students from the School of Management. Preference will be given to minority deaf female students. (6/16/98, apf)
The Kappa Gamma Fraternity Fund The income is used to provide annual awards based on scholarship, leadership, and fellowship to four male students, two of whom must be members of the Kappa Gamma Fraternity.
The Reader’s Digest Endowed Scholarship Fund The income is to be used to provide financial assistance to the deaf students with financial need.
The Robert G. Clingenpeel, ‘40 Endowed Memorial Schol. Fund This fund provides scholarships to students majoring in the field of Science (i.e. Biology, Chemistry). Students must be in good academic standing with a G.P.A. greater than 2.5.
The Walter G. Ross Idea Fund [quasi-endowment] This fund provides the International Deafness Education Assistance fund (IDEA) for scholarships for foreign students.
The Wayne & Susan DuPont Scholarship Fund The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance to deserving 2nd-year Gallaudet students who have exhibited academic effort and motivation during their 1st year of enrollment.
Trustee Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarships for outstanding entering freshmen.
Victoria (Luce) LeBlanc, ’14 Fund The Fund shall be used to provide financial support for tuition scholarships for full-time deaf or hard of hearing students seeking a degree in English or Theater from the University. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing.
William & Barbara Stevens Endowed Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarships for students majoring in English
Yolanda V. Glower Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship assistance to deaf and hard of hearing students with displayed financial need and who have and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Anderson Scholarship Fund The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to deaf Undergraduates who intend to become teachers of the deaf; and or teachers of the deaf who wish to undertake studies in preparation for counseling or rehabilitation work among deaf students and deaf adults.
Dorothy Hamberg Memorial Fund The Dorothy Hamberg Memorial Fund was established to provide scholarship assistance for outstanding physical education and recreation majors, for graduate or Undergraduate school assistance, and for special experience assistance.
Dorothy Polakoff Scholarship Fund The fund provides financial support to deserving Undergraduate and graduate social work students.
Dorothy S. Jordan Memorial Fund The fund will be used to support scholarships with preference given to Undergraduate deaf women who are enrolled in the Education program and have demonstrated financial need.
Ernest G., ‘24, Fern L. Langenberg Memorial Scholarship The Fund provides an award to an outstanding Undergraduate student who demonstrates success both in and outside the classroom. Financial need does not need to be demonstrated. Langenberg scholars should hold a GPA of 2.8 and above, as well as demonstrated success in one or more of the following areas: athletics, arts, leadership in student organizations, or involvement in community programs, civic programs and causes
Estelle Shelton Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarships for deserving female Undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in degree programs in education.
Harry M. & Margaret V. Evans Journalism Award This fund provides awards to Undergraduate and graduate students who display exceptional skill in journalistic writing.
Anniversary Class Endowment Fund This fund will provide scholarships to deaf and hard of hearing students.
Auerbach, ‘40 Freshman Math Award The award is presented annually to outstanding freshman mathematics students.
Cassandra C. Ketterer Endowed Scholarship Fund This fund provides an annual award to an outstanding student in the Department of Counseling.
Catherine Bronson Higgins,’32 Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides annual scholarship support for deserving women who are members of Phi Kappa Zeta sorority.
Charlotte W. Newcombe Endowed Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarships and/or career intern stipends to be awarded to deaf and hard of hearing students and students with multiple disabilities. Preference will be given to students with multiple disabilities.
Clare H. McCrone Scholarship This fund provides scholarships for deaf, female students in the Department of Counseling.
Cyrus White & Dorothy White Pritchard Memorial Endowment The fund provides scholarships to deaf or hearing students who are training to become teachers of deaf and hard of hearing people. The students must demonstrate financial need and remain in good academic standing.
David S. Martin Endowed Fund This fund will provide financial assistance to students from developing countries enrolled in one of the degree programs (B.A., M.A., Ph.D.) through the Department of Education.
Deaf Way II Student Scholarship Financial assistance to freshman students from developing countries.
Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity Scholarship Fund This fund is to provide a merit award to a member or members of Eta Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity in recognition of outstanding academic performance in the prior academic year.
EPOC Stipend Endowment Fund This fund is to provide student stipends for non-paid positions in the workplace.
Gerald “Bummy” Burstein, ‘50 Endowed Chair in Leadership This fund provides financial assistance to students for leadership training.
Gilbert C. Eastman Scholarship Fund The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship support for students studying theatre and/or television.
Gordon H. & Dorothy M. Brown Fund for Environmental Science Monies from the fund support students who participate in cooperative internship programs that are primarily concerned with matters which will improve the quality of our global ecology and environment.
Henry Syle Memorial Fund for Seminary Studies The income will be used to support deaf individuals pursuing a theological education.
Jeffrey I. Saloshin,’79 Mem. Scholarship Fund (Honors Program) The fund provides educational opportunities to deserving students enrolled in Gallaudet’s Young Scholars Program.
Jeffrey I. Saloshin,’79 Memorial Fund/Study of Crim. Justice This fund supports student internships related to criminal justice and a special lecture series.
Joseph L. Mattivi Memorial Scholarship Fund/GEP The fund was set up to provide financial assistance to Gallaudet students as follows: 1) Half of the available monies supports a merit award which will be given to a student participating in the Gallaudet Foreign Studies Program. Candidates for this award must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to students entering their junior year. 2) The remaining half of the available monies provide assistance for students majoring in Graphic Design in the Art Department
Joseph L. Mattivi Memorial Scholarship Fund/SoM The full name of this fund is the Joseph L. Mattivi Memorial Scholarship Fund benefitting the School of Management. Money earned from this fund will provide scholarships for students that need financial assistance.
Liberace Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music The fund supports scholarships for deaf and hard of hearing students in Gallaudet’s Music Program who have excellent academic standing and demonstrated financial need.
Lillian Gourley Rakow, ‘28 Creative Writing Award The fund will provide an annual award to a sophomore, junior and senior with demonstrated creative writing ability. The student will be chosen on the basis of a portfolio submitted to the English Department and evaluated by a three-person committee.
Linwood D. Smith Memorial Fund The fund provides scholarship assistance to African-American deaf and hard of hearing junior, senior, and graduate students with a GPA of 2.5 or better.
Lisa Joan Bott Scholarship Fund The fund will provide scholarships to deaf and hard of hearing students.
Philip J. Schmitt Memorial Fund This fund support student scholarships and special visiting lectureships related to Education.
Sasakawa International Scholarship Fund The fund will provide financial assistance to deserving deaf international students who are enrolled in degree-granting programs at Gallaudet. Preference will be given to students who are residents of developing countries.
The George M. Teegarden, 1876 Creative Writing Award Fund The income is used for one annual award to a student in recognition of excellence in creative writing, either poetry or prose.
The Hazel B. Waldron Endowed Fund The fund is used to support the students, faculty, and programs of the Department of American Sign Language and Deaf Studies.
The Phi Kappa Zet Sorority Award Fund This fund provides four annual scholarships.
The Ray & Louise Tully Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship assistance to students in the School of Education and Human Services with preference given to those students in the Counseling Department.
The Robert Mounty Scholarship Fund The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support for deaf and hard of hearing Gallaudet University students who have demonstrated academic excellence while majoring in communication studies, English, theatre arts, or digital media, or minoring in journalism. Preference will be given to students with displayed financial need.
The Tower Clock Scholarship Fund This fund provides awards to full-time students with good academic standing (above 3.0) and character who have made significant contributions to the University community.
The World Deaf Leadership Scholars Fund Scholarships (full tuition, room, board) to students from developing countries with a commitment towards returning to their home country. Provides support for a University WDL mentor. Also provides for up to two internships.
