Gallaudet University will launch its new esports arena on Friday, March 31. The arena, located on the second floor of Ely Center, was designed using Deaf Space principles. The 1,850 square-foot facility will include gaming PCs, XBox Series X, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, racing rigs, and VR headsets.

Our new varsity esports program will begin next fall, and will be the first and only deaf-led collegiate esports program in the world. As a member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), Gallaudet will play teams from all over the country. NACE has over 160 member colleges and universities, and more than 5,000 participating student-athletes across the United States.
